The general theory of relativity
Albert Einstein‘s theory of relativity describes the world in a way unfamiliar to us. It allows a different perspective on our world and brings the classical structure of physics into disorder. The question of origin and fate now seems answerable. In order to do so Einstein only needs a few axioms. Following the conclusions resulting from this, one is quick to acknowledge how elementary Einstein‘s findings are. However, Einstein‘s particular accomplishment does not lie in the mathematical elaboration of a theory but rather in his willingness to see things from a different perspective even if this means to sacrifice constants that were believed to be certain.
